ADVOCACY
Council on Crime and Justice: A local, independent, non-profit organization integrating research, demonstration projects and advocacy to bring just solutions to the causes and consequences of crime. Great local statistics and action opportunities.
Office for Social Justice: Serves the Archdiocese as its primary resource and catalyst for the work of social justice. On the website you can find a list of current action alerts and campaigns.
National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty: A national network that serves over 100 afiliates, this organization acts as a clearinghouse for information, producing reports, fact sheets and educational materials.
ETC Campaign: Committed advocates for fair rates for prisoners calling home.
Families Against Mandatory Minimums (FAMM)
A national group that advocates for fair and proportionate sentencing laws (dealing particularly with thepowder/crack cocaine sentencing disparity), FAMM calls for reform at the state and the federal level.

DIRECT SERVICE
Amicus partners with inmates, ex-offenders, juvenile offenders and communities to build successful lives and stronger communities. Amicus provides opportunities to visit in prisons and mentor inmates moving from prison back to society.
St. Stephen’s Ex-Offender Housing Program works with those coming out of prison to help them find safe, decent affordable housing. If you are a landlord, please consider working with this program. Lack of housing is a huge barrier to staying out of prison.
