"I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I moved to Texas 24 years ago and have since considered myself a Texan. I am a nurse by trade, currently working as a nurse practitioner in a Texas State Prison. I attended a Protestant elementary school run by Scottish missionaries, accepted Jesus as my Savior and was baptized at 8 years old. About 10 years ago, a friend invited me to her church, St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland, TX, where I felt at home. I learned about CSJ Consociates from two CSJ Sisters who I met in south Texas when I was contemplating getting involved with more church activities as a lay person. But St. Paul is far away from south Texas. There was no connection until they moved back to retire at Carondelet Village. I visited them twice last year, learned more about the Consociate program and decided to apply.
I plan to retire in 3-5 years and move to St. Paul. After all, St. Paul is rated as one of the best places to retire in the US! If available, I would like to work as a medical provider in the CSJ free health clinics. Since I would be physically in St. Paul, I would have the opportunity to take part in Wisdom Ways activities. I am looking forward to my retirement years in St. Paul!"
