Walking the labyrinth is a meditative form of prayer that Christians have practiced since the Middle Ages. It is a kind of pilgrimage in miniature, to ouch the earth with your feet, touch the holy with your heart.

You are invited to experience this ancient walking meditation, by walking an outdoor 77' diameter replica of the labyrinth in Chartes Cathedral in France.

In 1997 a labyrinth was mowed into the lawn south of the garden behind the Sisters of St. Joseph Provincial House and Carondelet Center. It is kept mowed through the summer for use by members of the St. Catherine and CSJ community, neighbors, and other interested people.

Location: South of Carondelet Center, 1890 Randolph, east of the College of St. Catherine buildings, north of the O'Shaughnessy parking lot, south of the Sisters of St. Joseph vegetable garden, encircled by seven young trees. The entrance into the Labyrinth is just to the left of the small tree between the two stone benches.

Parking: Use the O'Shaughnessy lot, College of St. Catherine, Gate 6 off Fairview Ave., just south of Randolph.
