Responsible for:

The position of Night Staff responsibilities are security, ensuring cleanliness and order by restocking storage as needed, doing laundry to maintain linen supply, sweeping/mopping kitchen, wiping oven tops, solid waste removal, and provide a peacemaking presence in the home during evenings.


  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to relate with and respond to conflicts that arise with women of diverse backgrounds, language skills, and life experiences
  • Ability to communicate clearly in various ways including on the phone, in writing, and through email
  • Experience in hospitality, mentoring, peer mediation, or coaching others preferred
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position by lifting 20-50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain resident confidentiality and appropriate relationship boundaries

Temporary Community Health Worker

32 hours a week/64 PPD

For more than two decades St. Mary’s Health Clinics (SMHC), a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph, has provided free primary health care to the uninsured in the seven county metropolitan area of St. Paul, Minneapolis and their surrounding suburbs. 

We have an opening for a Community Health Worker. The responsibilities include providing quality bilingual, bicultural health education, screenings, advocacy, and referrals to community agencies and medical providers. Additionally, this person will disseminate health information through one-to-one educational interventions.

The RN Care Coordinator for St. Mary’s Health Clinics is responsible for nursing care and clinical coordination of patients within assigned clinics overseeing the delivery of medical and follow-up care.


  • A.  Certification as a Community Health Worker.

  • B.  Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.

  • C.  One year experience working in community health, clinics, and/or social service agency preferred.

  • D.  Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish and experience translating from English to Spanish.

  • E.  Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated.F.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • G.    Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which may require lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, reaching, walking and standing for short periods of time.
