In partnership with St. Catherine University, the St. Paul Province of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet would like to share the below message that was sent to Txong Pao Lee, the Executive Director of the Hmong Cultural Center, in regards to the recent vandalism at the Hmong Cultural Center.
Dear Mr. Lee,
We were deeply saddened to learn of the vandalism of the Hmong Cultural Center last week. Such acts are intolerable and we want to let you know that St. Catherine University and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet stand in solidarity with you.
St. Catherine University is proud to have a large and growing number of Asian students, faculty and staff, many of them Hmong. As an Asian-Serving Institution, we understand the importance of not just supporting our students and colleagues, but also supporting the communities that they come from. It is in this spirit that we reach out to you to offer support in any way that we can as you recover from this horrible racist act.
