Sisters’ concerns about the impact Region Hospital’s request for 100 more beds will have on St. Joseph’s Hospital was featured in a March 24, 2018 Star Tribune article.

This past Thursday, Leadership Team member Suzanne Herder received a call from a St. Joseph Hospital/Fairview lobbyist looking for a statement from the CSJs in anticipation of a Friday (3/23/18) Senate committee hearing to grant HealthPartners an exception to a hospital building moratorium so that they could add 100 beds. In response, a letter (below), signed by seven St. Paul CSJs, was drafted and sent to Senate committee members and to the Department of Health. Much of the letter was quoted in an article that appeared in the Saturday, March 24, 2018 (below) Business Section of the Star Tribune. The letter will also be sent to House committee members in anticipation of a committee meeting on Tuesday. Questions and press inquiries should be directed to Ann L. Thompson, Communications Director, 651-592-3900.
