We are excited to welcome our new St. Kate’s Community Leader interns, Olivia Braaten and Bethany Mader! They will be working with the St. Kate’s/CSJ Food Shelf and Community Garden. Learn more about these wonderful folks below.
I am Olivia Braaten, a junior at St. Catherine University majoring in Public Policy with a minor in sociology and economics. I am excited to begin my role as the CSJ Food Justice and Urban Agriculture Intern. I am most looking forward to working against food poverty and providing nutritious foods to families in the Twin Cities by being involved in the CSJ Food Shelf and Community Garden.
I (Bethany Mader) am excited to work with the data surrounding the food shelf for this internship, as it is important in proving the need and success of the food shelf and the importance of solving food insecurity on campus. As an economics and public policy major, it is exciting to have such an intersecting opportunity that connects data and practice.
We are also blessed in celebrating Kristina DeNeve’s First Profession. Watch the prayer service of her profession (from June 15, 2021) below.
