Sarah’s… an Oasis for Women is a home dedicated to the safety and dignity of a diverse community of women who have survived violence, abuse, torture, war, discrimination, and trauma. The residents of Sarah’s begin new and productive lives through programs that build self-esteem, self-sufficiency, confidence, determination, and community.

Assist with food pick up and distribution every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. You must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. This involves picking up food at the warehouse, delivering it to the home, unloading, and putting away and distributing it into resident boxes. Having a driver’s license is preferred so you can be a backup driver for pick-up when needed.

As a Home Attendant at Sarah’s… an Oasis for Women you will be working among the residents and will need to ensure the safety and well-being of residents while maintaining the cleanliness of the home. You provide a listening ear and support for the residents. You will be responsible for household duties including laundry, vacuuming/floor care, sweeping/mopping, cleaning the kitchen and trash removal.

You require the ability to respond effectively to conflicts and emergencies. Clear communication by phone, in person and in writing is needed.

Previous experience working with trauma survivors with diverse backgrounds and language skills is desired. Must maintain confidentiality and appropriate relationship boundaries. Experience with housekeeping duties.

This is an hourly position that is eligible for St. Paul Safe & Sick Time. Starting pay $18.00. Holiday pay when working a holiday. Free parking on site. Overtime.

Schedule: Wednesday, 9:00 a.m – 2:00 p.m.

May be available to pick up other shifts as needed.
