The Gospel of Life Task Group

Mission and Goals

Members of the CSJ community have a long history of promoting respect for the value of Human Life from conception to natural death . They have and continue to:

  • Encourage people to pray for respect for life (including through saying the rosary or simple prayer gatherings at Carondelet Village)
  • Educate ourselves and others on life issues, such as abortion, embryonic stem cells research, euthanasia, surrogasy, doctor assisted suicide, death penalty, and religious liberty.
  • Provide support to organizations concerned with respect for life including assisting needy families of newborn babies and acting on behalf of legislation regarding the well-being of human beings at all stages of life.

Prayer for Life
Eternal God, Source of Life, we implore you to protect all unborn children.
Guide and support all expectant parents.
Comfort the aged, the sick and the dying; grant us religious liberty.
Strengthen prisoners especially those awaiting execution, and their victims.
Bring peace to our world torn apart by war, terrorism and countless
Other acts of violence against life.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
