We are excited to share this National Black Catholic History month letter, resources and calendar from the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Los Angeles Province.

“Dear Friends,

This month is National Black Catholic History month. We invite you to celebrate with us the gift of the Black community by using these materials in your prayer and reflection for the month of November. We highlighted in this calendar a few Black holy men and women who through their charity and service in the church made a difference in the world. ‘They became our heroes and heroines in times of hardship and discrimination, with faith, love and dedication they knocked down the barriers and brought the new life of Christ to their time. Just imagine what you can do to knock down the barriers of our time and bring new life. Let us go forward Spirit filled and hearts on fire.’
